Love the kava and the tea. My husband and I go all the time and staff is very friendly. Taylor is the best! Always polite, professional and hospitable. Everyone is great. I would absolutely recommend this bar.

Great place and awesome vibes! Bek and Riley took great car of me and made me feel welcome, introduced me to some great people. I had a lot of fun and will definitely come back

Edit: in response to the owner’s reply:A temperature controlled climate inside the building would go a long way. It must be about 85 degrees inside at any given time.. I love this place, but unfortunately the climate in the bar is unbearable. I feel awful for the employees who deal with it first-hand daily.. I’ve seen other reviews about this same issue as well from some time ago, with responses insinuating this would be a temporary thing, and that it would be fixed. Well, over a month and a half later, there still seems to be no plan in action to remedy the issue. Putting two fans on the floor is not a real solution. I love Island Root, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful kava family that surrounds the business, but the building needs help. Thanks

Had such A great experience and vibe that I wound up sitting there and spending seven hours just chatting with friends didn’t even realize the time that passed; very relaxing, very friendly, great service.🙏🏼

I have nothing but good things to say about Island Root. Such good energy you can feel immediately as you walk through the doors. I hang out here and have never felt anything but welcomed. The service is on point. As soon as you walk through the doors you’re greeted, you are served right away, no matter how busy it could get. The products are always up to par and the bartenders will make your drink how you want it. Always a very clean environment. I’ll always recommend Island Root over any other kava bar in the area.

Amazing atmosphere for relaxing after work, doing any homework or just meeting new friendly people. The kava here is the real deal, smooth and priced well and always made to order.

Stuart Root has the best kava tenders, and the best people, but they lose their stars because it is so hot in the bar. All of the regulars keep telling the upper management about the problem, but it feels like they dont take it seriously. The problem will only get worse during the summer. It's really unfortunate. They think putting black out curtains is a solution while it's 80 degrees in the bar sometimes. This is getting old guys.. take this issue serious and fix it, and I will happily give you 5 starsAt this point it's been over 2 months of a kava bar in the mid to high 80s. Multiple patrons are keeping track on their phones... I've never seen a buisnes who cares this little about their guests and their employees. It doesn't take 2 months to fix this issue. 3 weeks ago they replied to this, and have done nothing...They finally fixed their air.

I really enjoy this place. Alissa always greets me with a smile and great conversation. The entire staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Can’t say enough about this place.
