We freaking love this place! We go by everytime we drive through town. Great staff, willing to talk about their products and help us to understand what is best for us. And by far the best tasting of all the different kava bars in town.

Island Root is a hidden gem in Melbourne. The atmosphere is unique, inviting, and perfect for relaxing. The crowd is genuine and kind, friendly stuff and owner making it a great spot for chilling out and enjoying good conversations. It’s like a mix of a coffee shop and pub, but without the rowdiness. Definitely worth a visit!
