Tried this place for the 1st time. Diana treats you like makes you feel like a good friend. She was so helpful and friendly. The customers were mostly regulars and they were also very friendly. I would absolutely go back.

Driving by, I decided to take a stop, met Diana, such an amazing lady. Very nice. Very welcoming. Told her what I was looking for. She made a great combination. They have a rewards program. Will definitely go back. Thank you again Diana!!!

This place is a vibe. Met cool people each time I went. Kenneth is an amazing server, one of the best I've come across in general. Mixed me up his special (orange and two other flavours, overall citrus-y profile) and it tasted fire

I have been to about 6 or 7 island roots all the way from EGAD to PSL to finally down here in Coral Springs. While all the locations have a very welcoming environment, this location has some of the most welcoming kavatenders.

While I am still meeting some of the tenders, I have come to know Harold, Diana, and Kenneth. Each bring their own unique vibe and all encourage a welcoming environment. It has been great seeing some of the new kavatenders train under Kenneth, he has managed to still be engaging with the patrons while ensuring the new tenders understand how to do everything they need to.

Overall this location undeniably has very experienced staff who not only care about their product but their clientele. If you are ever in the area, and go to Kava bars, I would recommend stopping by to check it out.

As a fellow kavatender, I gotta give Island Roots a huge shout. The vibe in there is chill in all the right ways — cozy lighting, good music, and that earthy kava calm just hits the second you walk in. You can tell they care about the craft and the community, which is something not every spot nails.

But big props to Dianna — she absolutely crushed it behind the bar. Super knowledgeable on all things kava, from strain profiles to effects, and she broke things down in a way that was both welcoming and legit informative. Plus, the energy she brought? 🔥 Warm, positive, and genuinely engaged with every guest. You love to see it.

Island Root in Coral Springs is my go-to kava spot, and Kenneth is a big reason why. He’s seriously one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had — always welcoming, remembers what everyone likes, and somehow keeps up with a full bar without missing a beat. The guy’s got crazy speed and still takes the time to make sure everyone’s taken care of. You can tell he actually enjoys what he does, which makes the whole vibe even better. Every time I come in and see Kenneth behind the bar, I know it’s gonna be a good time. Thanks Ken

I really hate giving Island Root 1 star, if i could personally rate bartenders i’d give this guy 0 stars and Island Root 5 stars. I’ve been coming here a few weeks now and the place itself is really great! The people and decorations they have up are super cute. Normally i try to come here all the time after work but they just recently hired a new bartender named Kenneth and he’s totally and completely made me and my friends want to stop coming here. I’m a bartender and every thing he does makes me have less and less respect for this place and want to recommend all my friends and other women not come here. On my first time meeting him and ordering some drinks i heard him talking to other guests about drugs and what drugs he personally sells, which as a bartender and knowing about undercover cops i think it’s extremely important management is aware of that because i know plenty of people who have gone to court and gotten their businesses shut down for less. Now if it was just that i could probably write it off but he made me and my friends sooo uncomfortable, there was so much unnecessary aggression towards us when we were trying to order and instead of speaking kindly to us and letting us know about all the drinks and benefits of kratom, (like every where else ive gone to) he spent the whole time talking rudely and inappropriately about other female guests and women to me and my friends (who were a majority women) which was so incredibly disgusting and off-putting and made us all want to leave. Then to top it all off he overcharged us on our drinks, made us wait 30 minutes to get them, AND the drinks were disgusting. I ordered espresso and it was chunky…
I really loved this place and their drinks at first and everyone i’ve talked to has recommended it but now after this guy was hired we’ve all said we’re gonna go to other kava bars because he’s completely ruined the experience. I hope management does something about him soon because they’re losing clientele.

Not only do I love the product, people and ambiance at this establishment, I love the weekly games hosted by ZACH!! He’s such an enthusiastic guy and makes coming to Island Root all the better. I look forward to his weekly game nights and recommend anyone to come out, have a drink, and play some fun games. I love it.

First time visiting this place the other day, and the atmosphere was comforting as well as relaxing. Karina was very sweet and did a great job tending behind the bar. Will be visiting more often!

Island root isn’t my home bar but Karina made me feel so welcome and went above and beyond in providing excellent service! She made me feel right at home and gave great recommendations and made me a delicious drink. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be back! Keep up the great vibes
